For whatever reason, the internet here decided to shut off for a while, then switched to slow and unresponsive. Now it's a delightful mix of the two. I'll be in Xi'an the next few days, so I hope that issue is resolved when I get back to Beijing.

When reading my blog, you might come across a few words or terms that you are not familiar with. So here is a handy dandy glossary to have.
E.S.E.C.- Educational Services Exchange with China. It's the organization that I work for that has been operating in China since 1981. Needless to say, anything on this blog is my own thoughts and ideas only and is not necessarily approved or endorsed by ESEC
T.I.P-Total Immersion Program. This is the program that I work for. It is an intense twenty day program for English teachers from all across China. Students (ie, the aforemention teachers) are totally immersed in an English environment and forbidden to even speak Chinese during the length of the program. Needless to say, anything on this blog is my own thoughts and ideas only and is not necessarily approved or endorsed by the administration of ESEC or TIP.
